One of the most popular series is the Horus Heresy that tells the stories of Space Marines 10,000 years before the current setting of Warhammer 40,000. If you’re not into Space Marines of the Astra Militarum (regular human army), then you might have to do a little bit of digging, but you there’s bound to be something for everyone in the Black Library. Most of the 40k books star characters from the Imperium, as they are seen as the good guys. I’m pretty sure there’s at least one novel that features each faction, so peruse their online listing to find a book about a faction that interests you. They release numerous novels every month, and there are literally hundreds of past books to choose from already. The Black Library is the novel publishing arm of Games Workshop. If you’ve had enough fictional history lessons and are looking for something that reads a little easier, then you’ll want to hit up the Black Library.
