Sometimes I just spam a few squads and max reinforce them even before I built my first listening posts. When you have even a small HG you can use that to cap and defend base, rush out a barracks and produce your first squads while the commander is already on the way to the first base (set barracks rallying point on him). By the time the first base has fallen you should be able to send another 1 or 2 squads for a joint attack on the 2nd base and have researched some basic upgrades for them. So once you know where the enemy is, you can just rush your commander and 2-3 regular infantry units over there and demolish the enemy while still capping with one unit at home. The enemies starting position is always the same, only difference is one or two bases - and even those positions are always the same. Not the guy, but on normal you can still just straight rush on regular maps. I never played a lot of multiplayer except with friends but I played a lot of skirmishes and played through the campaign with every race at least once so I hope this information can be of use. I equipped my first five listening posts with the holy icon upgrades. Remember to use the extra Faith resource introduced on Soulstorm as well. If the enemy has ranged superiority (Tau/Necrons/SM/Chaos) then get some tanky infantry and your commander to soak up as much damage as your flamers force them to tears. Just be wary of Necrons as they will out-tank your infantry easily. I would just say play aggressive against most races. Try to get the immolators out before the enemy can even think of vehicles so you can wreck their infantry and demolish their buildings with ease. Use the jetpack Sisters (ranged) to kite the enemy melee units. It's pretty easy to win the battle of morale with missionaries and flamers. When I played through the campaign, I mainly focused on early game supremacy.
